We’re so excited and honored to celebrate the poetry and genius of our friend Tyler Esplin.
Here, for the first time in print, is a selection of his poems, letters, and short stories, along with selections of his handmade zines and photos of his distinct hand-written poems.
The book will be released at an event tomorrow, August 22, 2019, at the Logan City Library in Logan, Utah. The event is co-sponsored by Utah State University, Helicon West, and the Logan City Library. All proceeds from books sold at the event will go to the Cache County Humane Society
The book can also be found for sale here on Line Rider’s website.
“M. Tyler Esplin’s (1991-2018) work epitomizes the poetry and aesthetic of America’s Mountain West counterculture in the early 21st century. From drug use to friendship and tender romance, from nihilistic depression to numbing stints in jail, Esplin’s genius gives voice to an overlooked and underappreciated subculture of rebellion, recklessness, and obscurity that came of age in the wake of the Great Recession and the rise of the internet age.”
