Shift your interest
from the accident by the side of the road, gaze
out front, towards that dopamine dripping destination
endlessly ahead. No need to worry, side view

now managed, no longer required to twist your spine,
to assess, nor to best guess your blind spot;

it's managed, your
no longer required to heed
that curious warning:
"Objects are closer than they appear."

All the while, the perfect pacing
of the gifted humorist tempting fate is behind you.
your tale is on fire,
and it's chasing you.
