“What would a Ken Burns documentary be without its measured, authoritative narration? In\u00a0The West<\/em>,\u00a0The National Parks<\/em>,\u00a0Prohibition<\/em>,\u00a0The Dust Bowl<\/em>,\u00a0The Roosevelts<\/em>,\u00a0The Vietnam War<\/em>,\u00a0The Mayo Clinic<\/em>, and now\u00a0Country Music<\/em><\/a>, actor Peter Coyote delivers hours of often dense, complex text \u2014 full of facts, figures, quotes, and grand unifying ideas \u2014 in a manner that Burns refers to as \u201cGod\u2019s stenographer.\u201d His calm, cowboy-around-a-campfire timbre is basically the voice of America, at least within the orbit of PBS.”<\/span><\/p>\n
