 <\/p>\n

where beauteous mountains<\/span>
are draped with plastic shrouds so the forest of rejected<\/span>
erect trees aren\u2019t tempted to spew their pollen,<\/span>
poisoning Eve\u2019s innocent sweet fruit.
<\/span>
where the long-winded landscape<\/span>
blows hot hair, unknowingly strengthening the labia-shaped<\/span>
man-eating plants whose poisoned cast-iron balls<\/span>
Adam mistakes as his momma’s womb.
<\/span>
i’ve lived here nearly 50 years, cautiously thrilled<\/span>
there are now a few cruise ships showing up to take people<\/span>
to the promised land. these proclaimed water-walking condo-sized<\/span>
rafts are costly, move slowly.
<\/span>
the island’s youth-elders are speaking against such convenient escapes<\/span>
preaching from their pulpit of primary sources:<\/span>
“these ships are powered by chained slaves in the their underbellies”<\/span><\/i><\/span>
their marching followers won’t step off the homeland<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

until this is first made right.<\/span><\/p>\n
