When you come into the country<\/span><\/p>\n

You must be careful what you ask<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the Puritan girls you will meet there.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gladly will they fall upon<\/span><\/p>\n

Every sword they\u2019re given.<\/span><\/p>\n

You may laugh at them,<\/span><\/p>\n

So uneducated they do seem.<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, they know almost nothing<\/span><\/p>\n

About physics and chemistry,<\/span><\/p>\n

Of how winds move over the earth,<\/span><\/p>\n

How currents move in the seas.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They\u2019ve heard little of Mozart,<\/span><\/p>\n

And they don\u2019t read the reviews on Pitchfork,<\/span><\/p>\n

Nor do they listen to the albums.<\/span><\/p>\n

Astronomy, algebra, and Greek myth<\/span><\/p>\n

They are largely ignorant of.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But if you spend enough time<\/span><\/p>\n

And ask of them just enough,<\/span><\/p>\n

You will find that they have an impeccable knowledge<\/span><\/p>\n

Of human anatomy.<\/span><\/p>\n

How else would they learn to fall<\/span><\/p>\n

Each time, just missing all their vital organs<\/span><\/p>\n

So that they may be fresh and ready<\/span><\/p>\n

For tomorrow\u2019s impalement?<\/span><\/p>\n
