\nself-purging, an act of reclamation<\/span><\/p>\n
\ncups its own palm<\/span>
\nsupports you, carries it to term<\/span>
\nIts the body,<\/span>
\nthe arrangement<\/span>
\nthe unsaid understanding<\/span>
\na solemn promise<\/span>
\nbetween the body and its identity<\/span><\/p>\n
\nlike a ball of sagging clay on the potter wheel<\/span>
\nmorphed and molded<\/span>
\nto be called a human being<\/span><\/p>\n
\nYou definitely don’t own our bodies.<\/span>
\nYou break the arrangement<\/span>
\njust like to possess the things<\/span><\/p>\n
